ooc. That's okay! It was good!
Uh-oh "Well, I, I, I..." Brambleclaw's anger burned in his eyes. "You are not suppossed to be here. What were you thinking! You could have gotten hurt, killed, or captured...Jaypaw, do you really want to risk your life without thinking about what you're getting yourself into? Unless it concerns you, you shouldn't be here." Jaypaw glared at his father in defiance. "But I just wanted to-" "Wanted to what? Be a hero?" Brambleclaw sighed. "Jaypaw, why can't you just stay in camp like a good apprentice. When we get back, I'll be sure to make sure that Whitewing gives you a stern punishment. But since you'll be in trouble anyways, you might as well stay. I still have to pay my respects to Leopardstar." Brambleclaw turned around and walked over to where the line of cats ended, and making sure he was behind all the RiverClan cats, he slowly made his way towards the slain leader. Jaypaw felt his anger burning from ears to tail-tip. Then he thought of all the trouble he caused.

Firestar stayed back. He sat in the shadows at the edge of the clearing. He looked confused, shocked, sad, and mad. He looked defeated. Jaypaw wanted to go over and comfort his grandfather, but he did not think that Firestar would be very pleased at him for coming along. Jaypaw sat down to think.

Back at camp, Hollypaw sat up in her nest. "Why aren't you sleeping?" asked Lionpaw. "It's Jaypaw," she mewed. "Where could he be?" Lionpaw was quiet for a moment, "I don't know." he admitted. "But Jaypaw will be okay. He doesn't always make the wisest decisions, but he'll be okay. I know it." Hollypaw sighed. "Don't worry. He'll be back soon." mewed Lionpaw, and gave his sister a comforting lick on the ear.

Just then, a rustle came from outside. Hollypaw, being the only one wide awake, tried to take a peep. A white pelt with jet black paws was all she saw, but she knew who it was immediately.
"Lionpaw! Blackstar's sneaking around our camp!"

Lionpaw sat up briskly. He stared at Hollypaw wide-eyed. He didn't doubt her word for a moment. She wouldn't lie about something like this. "Wake up the others." he whispered, flicking his tail at the other apprentices in the den. "I'll go get Firestar." The ginger apprentice raced quietly out of the apprentices' den. What could Blackstar be doing? Lionpaw kept low to the ground, and thundered into his grandfather's den. Firestar wasn't there. He went to RiverClan. Lionpaw remembered. He ran back outside and raced to the warriors' den. A few cats raised their heads as he entered. "Lionpaw?" asked Sandstorm, "What are you doing here at this time?" "Sandstorm," mewed Lionpaw, "It's Blackstar! He's outside our camp, right now!" Sandstorm narrowed her eyes. "Go back to your den." she mewed. "But I'm telling the truth!" exclaimed Lionpaw. "I never said you didn't." mewed Sandstorm, with a touch of humor in her voice. Lionpaw nodded. Before leaving, he saw Sandstorm waking Brambleclaw, Cloudtail, Sandstorm, and Brackenfur. Lionpaw trotted quickly back to the apprentices' den. Hollypaw was sitting in front of the other apprentices. Honeypaw and Hazelpaw croutched together in terror. Poppypaw sat quietly by herself. The other apprentices' eyes darted back and forth, watching for danger. "Don't worry." mewed Lionpaw. "The Warriors' are coming."

All of the sudden, a yowl of pure fury rang through the clearing. "Honeypaw, Hollypaw, you guard the nursery!" Berrypaw hissed, unsheathing his claws and puffing out his fur. Honeypaw and Hollypaw immediately followed his order. He's more like my father than me! Lionpaw thought. "Lionpaw, you, Mousepaw, and I will guard the entrance. Poppypaw and Cinderpaw, you two guard the elders. If they want to fight, then let them. There is no use arguing. Lets go!" He urged Poppypaw, Cinderpaw, and Mousepaw out of the den. He charged out next to Lionpaw. "Where's Jaypaw?" Berrypaw whispered to Lionpaw as he pelted out the thorn tunnel next to him. "We think he followed Firestar's RiverClan patrol. He'll be fine there, thankfully."

Lionpaw quickly fallowed Berrypaw. They stood in the entrance, watching. Lionpaw could smell them now. He could hear their breathing. The ThunderClan warriors emerged from their den. good. Lionpaw thought. The Warriors trotted over to the entrance and stood by the apprentices. The entrance was the only way in. Except for a ledge on the other side of the camp, but ShadowClan would not know about that. ShadowClan would have to come in through the entrance. But ThunerClan was not going to attack first. They waited quietly.

A meow rang in the night. "We come in peace. We have just found out that Rowanclaw, a warrior of ours, died." Lionpaw looked up at the cats looking down the ledge. He recognized his father's sister's pelt, and Blackstar. "What does that have to do with us?" yowled Sandstorm, her green eyes burning with anger.

"We have reason to beleive that ThunderClan has killed him." meowed Blackstar in an eerily calm voice. "And what reason might that be?" hissed Sandstorm, her tail swishing back and forth. "At RiverClan, Firestar seemed pretty upset after we killed Leopardstar. This is obviously revenge." meowed Blackstar. Sandstorm stared at Blackstar in shock, "Firestar has not even returned from RiverClan yet-" "Exactly my point!" growled Blackstar, "He's probably sneaking back here now."

"What are you talking about?" Squirrelflight screeched. "We never touched Rowanclaw after the battle that you forced onto us!" "But he died here. Who is his killer? Speak now and let StarClan have mercy on you." Rainwhisker stepped forward. Lionpaw gasped. "No! Rainwhisker, you didn't kill Rowanclaw, I know you didn't. Please don't let it be true!" Rainwhisker smiled. "No, Lionpaw, I did not kill Rowanclaw. On the contrary, I know who did." Blackstar turned his huge white head towards Rainwhisker, his gaze icy with anger. "Well, who killed my warrior?" Blackstar hissed. Rainwhisker directed his tail right at Blackstar. "That did." "What? Blackstar would never kill his own warrior, let alone one of his favored!" a ShadowClan cat meowed in shock. "No, no," Rainwhisker laughed. He brought his tail down a little bit. "See that ledge he's standing on? He just ran off it, and the fall must've broke his neck, killing him." Blackstar, shocked by the news, backed off the ledge a little bit before speaking again.
"But Rowanclaw doesn't have a broken neck."

ooc; I thought Russetfur died 'cause Leopardstar killed her?
bic; Lionpaw bristled at the ShadowClan leaders words. How dare he accuse ThunderClan of killing one of their mangy furballs! He unsheathed his claws and took a pace toward Blackstar, approaching the ledge. "Fox du-" He was cut short of a reproachful insult by Rainwhisker who flicked his tail across the apprentice's golden muzzle. "He could have easily severed his spinal chord without you being able to feel it. There doesn't have to be broken bones."
Blackstar snarled, digging his claws into the stone and flattening his ears as his claws screeched across the cold surface. "Littlecloud could have still detected it!" Tail lashing, he crouched on ledge baring his fangs. He plunged off the ledge with a hiss and fell on top of Rainwhisker in a flury of teeth and claws. The gray tom snarled and shoved the large white cat off. Backing away closer to Lionpaw, he dug his claws into the ground. "Not if it was severed just a tiny bit but was enough to kill him!"

ooc: oops. srry. I fixed it! ;D
BIC: Blackstar jumped onto Rainwhisker. They rolled around more, and all of the sudden Blackstar pulled a move and Rainwhisker was struggling for breath. Just when Lionpaw thought his mentor was down for the count, "ENOUGH!" came a loud yowl from the entrance. Lionpaw turned to see just who he was hoping to come and save the day: his father. Blackstar growled at Brambleclaw, but didn't move off of Rainwhisker, who was being pummeled into the ground by Blackstar's weight. "He said enough." came another meow, this time from Firestar, just behind Brambleclaw. "Firestar, you think you can push me around! Think again. My whole clan is here. And what about your clan? Looks like some are still too slow to keep up with you." he hissed menachially. "Really? Well, actually, I sent them to attack your clan. Of course, the only one's there are elders, queens, and kits, and how can they defend themselves... looks like your out of luck." Firestar cackled, his whole clan staring at him in shock. At that, Blackstar rushed out of the camp, his clan following worriedly behind him. Hollypaw walked up to her grandfather, a look of pure horror on her face. "Why?" she asked him. "Why what? How else was I to convince Blackstar to back off of Rainwhisker and leave?" he smiled. Just then, Graystripe, Stormfur, and Jaypaw came into camp, big grins on their faces. The whole clan fell to the ground laughing.

A smile broke accross Hollypaw's face. She couldn't hold back a snicker. The other cats around them began laughing too. Hollypaw was the only one to see how tired Firestar actually looked as he turned away. He had a sad look on his face as well. Hollypaw watched as her grandfather trudged off to his den, tail dragging in the dust. Hollypaw blinked. What was wrong? Where did the humorous, strong Firestar who had just gotten rid of Blackstar go? Hollypaw padded off to the apprentices' den. She settled herself in her soft nest. She looked up at the stars. Was Firestar okay? Maybe he was sick. No she told herself, He's just tired after the battle at Riverclan... Suddenly Hollypaw sat up. The Battle! She had forgotten all about it! Where was Jaypaw? She needed to ask him what had happened.

Suddenly Jaypaw walked into the apprentices' den with Lionpaw. "Hey Hollypaw, you should've seen the fight! It was amazing! And then when Blackstar killed Leopardstar in revenge for killing Russetfur..."

"Huh?" gasped Hollypaw, "He killed her?" Jaypaw nodded. "What proof did he have that it was Leopardstar?" Jaypaw shrugged. Hollypaw lay back down, "So was anyone severally hurt?" "Not except Leopardstar. And a few ShadowClan cats." answered Jaypaw. Hollypaw hesitated before saying, "You know, you could have really gotten into trouble, Jaypaw." "I think I already am." said Jaypaw calmly, "but who cares? I not only got to see the battle, I got to fight in it!" "But Jaypaw!" gasped Hollypaw, "You mustn't have enough training for that!" "I suppose I do. I survived, and chased off a few Shadowclanners." said Jaypaw proudly.

Hollypaw rolled her eyes. "You're so full of it!" she mewed to her brother, and laid her head back down. She quickly fell asleep, waves of it washing onto her.
