Sorry if I didn't work on for a while XP
Part 11
---------------
"Mythheart! Mythheart!" Wolfclaw prodded the sleeping tom gently with a paw. "Wake up, we must go meet Shimmertail!" Mythheart groaned, and drowsily stood up. He vigorously shook himself, stretching his limbs. "For StarClan's sake, can't you wake up a bit earlier?" She flicked his ear with her tail.
"Sorry, Wolfclaw," he muttered. "Now which way are we heading?" Although he was up for the task ahead, he was still slightly shocked by the prophecy. Wolfclaw pointed her tail at a small area where the bushes parted a bit. Slowly, they walked side by side, fur brushing. The small pathway led them into a darker portion of the forest. Small rays of sunlight filtered between the leaves, the only thing lighting their way.
What will the other cats say about our return? Wolfclaw asked herself. She was concerned about her and Mythheart's wellfare, and Shimmertail's. She knew it would take lots of explaining from the medicine cat to convince FireClan, especially Eagletail. StarClan be with us! She said the prayer over and over again in her mind. Mythheart sensed her nervousness and briefly pressed his nose into her fur. Wolfclaw relaxed, knowing that the former rouge would be with her always.
Finally, the shady grove was behind them. Wolfclaw sniffed the air.
"Horsetail!" she exclaimed in a whisper. "And Shimmertail!" Her heart started to beat with excitement. Shimmertail had told them to meet her by the small patch of the plants. They were nearly home. If we can really call it a home anymore... Wolfclaw thought in sadness, still remembering her Clan's words of exile.
"There she is!" meowed Mythheart. On the horizon, Wolfclaw could see a cat with ears pricked up, as if it already saw them coming. Both of them picked up the pace, paws striding over the grass. Soon enough, they were in front of the she-cat, panting.
"I already planned out what I'll say," Shimmertail announced. "I know FireClan will be angry, but I know I can tell them you're innocent." Wolfclaw gave a thankful dip of her head. "I will tell Fallenstar about the prophecy's meaning, and that I found you while looking for herbs." Then, she paused. "Which is partially true. I was planning to seek you out but didn't know when. I couldn't sleep last night so I decided to replenish the herbs."
"We are grateful for you," Mythheart mewed politely.
"It's the best I can do to help out a few friends!" Shimmertail said gladly. A new sparkle appeared in her blue eyes. "By the way, Lilypaw became a warrior. Her warrior name is Lilywind."
"That's a beautiful name," whispered Wolfclaw. "I think we should go on, though. There may not be much time left." The trio began to head back to the FireClan camp. The familiar scent of FireClan filled Wolfclaw's nose, but she was not exactly relieved to smell it. They passed the scent markers, but only got a little further when another cat appeared.
"You!" gasped Galestorm. Wolfclaw shuddered. "But why's Shimmertail here?" His fur raised, but he tried to keep his temper. "There has to be a reason why Shimmertail is here." Then, Swallowfeather emerged.
"Wolfclaw? Shimmertail? Mythheart?" It was clear that she was suspicious of the group, but Swallowfeather always had good judgement. "We'll take them to Fallenstar," she suggested, "And then we will know how to deal with them." There was some dissent in her voice, but no one disagreed. As the rest of the patrol and FireClan saw what Galestorm found, a few angry mews and hisses rose up, but they proceeded to Fallenheart's den.
"Fallenheart," mewed Shimmertail softly, "We must speak with you." The Leader looked up, and her eyes widened in sight of Mythheart.
"What's he doing here?" she growled, narrowing her eyes. "Very well, speak, Shimmertail."
"I was going to tell this to you, but was stopped. I recieved a prophecy from StarClan." Fallenstar leaped up. "A tale from the heart will save our Clan..." Silence was in the den for a heartbeat or two. "A tale is also called a myth, is it not? So Mythheart...Mythheart will save the clan from the rouges..." Fallenheart didn't believe Shimmertail at first, but she never doubted StarClan.
"I see," she mewed. "This shall call for yet another Clan meeting. Come with me to the High Hill." She bounded out of the den, followed by Shimmertail. Wolfclaw sighed in relief, and leaned against Mythheart's flank.
"We're going to be safe," she whispered to him. "Come on, let's move it." Mythheart gave her a affectionate lick, and left the den.
