Thursday night I went to the Vicky event at Powell's in Beaverton.
Vicky has such a lovely accent! <33
Before Vicky arrived there was book purchasing and picking seats. Some of the copies were pre-signed, but I got mine personalized. She writes pretty small....
Anyways, it basically started off as her first introducing how writing Warriors works. (With Cherith and Kate and all.) Then she did a reading of one of the earlier chapters (the one that ends with Jaykit saying "I wish I had never been born!") of The Sight. After that, we had open questions. Most of the kids asked things about the plots (like "Will ____ ever come back?" or "Will there be anything like ____ again?"), which I wasn't so personally interested about.
Here is some stuff I learned ^w^ ...
After the questions there were signings. The ones in front rows went first. When I got up there I gave her some chocolates and a card signed by my other Warriors fan friends. And I told her that all the Warriors fans that didn't come to a tour location send their love. <3 She said that she'd color-copy my card and send it to Kate and Cherith, too. ~*w*~
Oh! And good news for those who couldn't go to one! There's probably going to be another tour; Vicky mentioned she'd be back in Oregon during October. I hope that means there's another happening. >w<
But for some reason, that play thing that AuthorTracker was talking about didn't happen.... ?

- There is a fourth series of Warriors being planned.
- Next summer, there is a brand new Erin Hunter title called Seekers about bears coming out. Vicky mentioned that it will have a strong eco-friendly message.
- One person asked if there were other tribes, and Vicky said she couldn’t answer or it would ruin the plot.
- Vicky said that Ravenpaw and Barley were sort of like husband and wife, and she imagined that they said things like "Do you want mouse or sparrow for dinner?" "I think I'll have larch." It was really funny. There you have it, Raven/Barley shippers!
- Also, Vicky said she always thought of Greystripe as a doofus. The crowd was roaring at that. XD
- Secrets of the Clans will include stories about LionClan, TigerClan, and LeopardClan.
- Also in SotC, the Warrior Code will be fully written out. Vicky said it has fourteen rules, but she always thought it had ten.
- The New Prophecy was suppose to end at Dawn with the cats leaving, but it was continued. Vicky said that she didn't like the last half of TNP's titles as much. She joked that Starlight should have been Mid-morning.
- Someone asked if Firestar would die, and more than half the crowd was cheering to kill him off. >D
- The third book of Power of Three is Outcast or something.
- Also, she started doing this really weird impression of Firestar. She said that Firestar's weakness was strays, and went on like "You there! You'd make a fine warrior! Come right on in!" "But, I don't want to be--" "Why, even I myself was a kittypet once! But look at me now!" "But--"
- And Lionpaw may have a chance of being evil. Vicky said "he has the amber eye thing going on." x3
