They couldn't decide between the 2. They orignally chose the first one we saw, but they thoght it was to bright and pretty for Warriors.
Graystripe looks old!!!!!!!! Those big bushy eyebrows hide his beautiful face, and well, hes supposed to be STRIPED!! I don't see any stripes, do you?! I mean, the LEAST they can do is give him stripes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ur right he does look EMO. I hate that they decided to do comic book stuff for the lost warrior. I like comic books, but Warriors is for regular BOOKS, not Japanese art stuff that looks weird with the huge eyes and creepy bodies!!

*cough* He just has one stripe along his back, which gave him his name. Otherwise, I think he's a solid grey.

Well, they didn't put that stripe there!! I read it(in 5 minutes) VERY DISSAPPOINTING!! The story was ok, but the fact that I read it in 5 min. and spent 7$ on it is dissappointing to me!! I expected at least 15 min. AT LEAST

I saw the manga at my local Barnes and Noble, and it was small. So so small...I expected it to be the same as other mangas and the usual Warriors books, but the book was so thin, someone would read it in one day.

I agree Hastepaw, the book is PUNY. It's about as thin as my pinky finger. >-< I read it in only a few minutes.
I'm not a huge fan of the art it has (my friends kept complaining we all could have done better, which is so toally true), but some of it just looks WEIRD. And Brightheart.... Bleh. It looks like she's winking. T__T No missing fur, no torn ears, no scars, NOOOOTHIIINNGGG. That, and I think they gave Squirrelflight tabby stripes. ANNH, WRONG.
I think the manga would be better if they had waited until the entire story of Greystripe coming back was ready and finished, then COMBINED it into one single volume.
But there's one thing that really bugs me. Showing the Twoleg faces. This story is suppose to center around the cats, and seeing it from just one over-viewing prespective so we see the Twolegs as for what they really are.... Blaaah. I mean, I was expecting something more like seeing from the cat's view (up at the Twolegs) and their bodies and faces darkens, but that we can still identify its a human. (Sort of like what Fruits Basket does sometimes with the background characters; they put a shadow where their eyes are so we basically only see the mouth. It creates a good effect to show that they're not important to the storyline.)
And Dan Jolley, I have something to say to YOU. You're "bad-guy" is the typical playground bully and is completely one-deminsional. Your storyline is totally Mary-Sue-esc, and the only reason I don't want to rip you to pieces is because, hey--it's Warriors and Millie is the first of that sort of character I've liked in a looong while. I despise you. =)
So, there you have it, Shadow's rant for the day.
